I recently watched an interview with Alex Lakatos from the Interledger Foundation, and one line stuck with me:

_“Interledger’s premise is to make sending payments as easy as sending an email.”
_
He talked about building a network where money moves with the same ease—and lack of friction—as information does online. I found myself smiling at the screen because that’s exactly the path we’re on with Sendzz, We’re not just cheering for that vision; we’re building the interface that makes it real in people’s lives.

At Sendzz, we believe money shouldn’t be caged behind borders, bank cuts, or crypto jargon. It should move like a simple message: fast, human, and free from the complexity that keeps everyday users out.

That interview felt less like inspiration and more like confirmation—we’re on the right track, The real revolution in open payments isn’t about the ledger tech—it’s about the interface people actually touch.

Alex is right: most folks don’t struggle with Interledger or smart contracts; they struggle with the front-end. The average user feels “network anxiety” when they see seed phrases, raw public keys, or long strings they’re told not to lose, That’s the gap.

Sendzz is the bridge, We took the most familiar identity on the planet—the email address—and turned it into the payment rail. When a user signs up, their email becomes a high-speed settlement destination. The heavy crypto lifts—smart contracts, key management, routing—keep running under the hood, but the front-end feels like hitting “send” on a message. We’re moving the financial experience from gated portals and scary wallet apps to a place users already trust: their inbox.

Sub-Second Finality, Not Just Asset Storage

Traditional finance treats international money like a heavy physical object sitting in a vault, crawling slowly through correspondent clearing chains. Sendzz treats it as an open packet stream. By experimenting with interledger concepts, we have built an infrastructure where anyone in the world, regardless of geographic location, can receive money via their email address and easily clear it:

Sub-Second Finality: Transactions don't take days; they process instantly with rapid backend validation.

Instant Local Off-Ramps: The moment funds hit an inbox, the recipient can instantly clear them straight into their traditional local bank account.

Operational Scale: Our tech is live in beta right now across four distinct corridors: Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, and Malawi. Our ultimate goal is to scale this infrastructure into over 60 countries.

 The future is uncaged

This new infrastructure will transform the hardest flows— NGO disbursements into crisis zones, global freelance payroll, anything that demands speed and certainty. Payments can finally move as fast as the need. Interledger is the right tool to power our next stage. We’re excited to build alongside this ecosystem, lower the barriers, and connect with builders who want to plug into our cross-border rails.

The next wave of finance isn’t about teaching everyone how ledgers work. It’s about using technology to honor human connection. For Sendzz, that connection starts with the most familiar identity on earth: an EMAIL ADDRESS.
**
