Update: Further progress made on practical legal documents

Last week we held another session to discuss the progress made on the legal documents we've been working on. In particular, we considered in detail the Record of Processing, Privacy Notice, and Website Terms of Use. We have also prepared and discussed various brief guides on how to use these legal documents in practice to facilitate their adoption. We are now working on unifying and standardizing our various deliverables. When this stage has been completed we will release first beta versions and ask for your feedback.

Update: Lowering Legal Friction's work well under way

Having been awarded the public call grant in June, we recently held an interactive face-to-face brainstorming session (while observing the applicable social distancing guidance). As drafting and dissemination of legal texts in an open-source and user-friendly manner presents certain challenges, we mostly discussed and adopted the general approach, and agreed the key terms to be addressed in the individual documents. We are excited to see that work is already well under way and we’re seeing some good progress being made. We hope to be able to share our work with the community soon!
