How to safely withdraw earned WM moneys?

Okay so we're doing the final budget numbers for Immers Space and I thought I would cash out my Uphold wallet to include Web Monetization earnings in those numbers, but there's a huge catch. It seems the only way Uphold offers to withdraw cash to a bank account is through a service called Plaid, which requires that I give them my actual bank account password and authorize them to scrape all my account info and then sell it off in a future acquisition.

Have y'all figured out another way to access Web Monetization earnings that isn't a privacy and security nightmare?

This is disturbing and I hope they resolve this issue soon. Maybe you can withdraw to external crypto wallet of your choice first and then withdraw the crypto wallet from another service like Coinbase until Uphold make changes regarding to this?

Good idea - looks like Coinbase does offer the old-fashioned deposit verification method help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/gett...

Plaid lost the lawsuit and must pay $58 million to users for excessive data collection and deceptive practices

I reached out to Uphold to ask about other methods of withdrawal and they said there were none:

Hello I would like to withdraw my earnings from the Interledger network, but I'm not going to give my bank account password to a third party service. Is there any other way to withdraw funds from uphold?

Thank you for contacting Uphold. I'll be glad to assist.
Unfortunately, the only option we offer in order to link a new bank account is by connecting through Plaid.
If your bank is not supported through Plaid or you do not wish to go through this service, we welcome you to deposit funds using a credit or debit card or via wire transfer.
