Okay so we're doing the final budget numbers for Immers Space and I thought I would cash out my Uphold wallet to include Web Monetization earnings in those numbers, but there's a huge catch. It seems the only way Uphold offers to withdraw cash to a bank account is through a service called Plaid, which requires that I give them my actual bank account password and authorize them to scrape all my account info and then sell it off in a future acquisition.
Have y'all figured out another way to access Web Monetization earnings that isn't a privacy and security nightmare?

This is disturbing and I hope they resolve this issue soon. Maybe you can withdraw to external crypto wallet of your choice first and then withdraw the crypto wallet from another service like Coinbase until Uphold make changes regarding to this?
Good idea - looks like Coinbase does offer the old-fashioned deposit verification method help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/gett...

I reached out to Uphold to ask about other methods of withdrawal and they said there were none:
Oh looks like there's active lawsuit against Plaid for other privacy violations, too lieffcabraser.com/2021/05/plaid-ca...
