Gamedev.js Jam 2025, the sixth yearly edition of the online web game development competition wrapped two days ago, on April 26th - our community broke the record (again) and we ended up with 420 submitted games!
That’s 175% increase from last year’s 238 entries, which was our previous record. All built within 13 days between April 13th and 26th on a given theme: BALANCE.
Play all the games directly on Itch: itch.io/jam/gamedevjs-2025/entries
Thank you all who submitted! Now’s the time to play each other’s games and rate them. Vote for as many of the entries as you can, since Itch will promote games with good Karma (number of votes sent versus number of votes received). Make sure to provide constructive feedback if you’d like to receive it from other folks as well.
Didn’t submit? You can still help: play the games and leave your comments of what you liked about a given entry and what you think could’ve been improved.
The voting will end on May 9th , with the overall winners being announced the next day on May 10th, and results of the extra challenges (picked by dedicated experts) will be published on May 11th.
We’ve filtered the entries submitted to this year’s challenges:
- Open Source (122 games)
- Build it with Phaser (68 games)
- $NOODS (22 games)
The V Shaders challenge is extended till May 8th though, so make sure to check it out if you’d like to win some cash from the $12k prize pool dedicated to this challenge alone.
