Decentralized category winners in js13kGames 2024!

This year the Decentralized category had four different, unique challenges: OP Guild, Avalanche, Thirdweb, and Arcadia - let’s see their results.

Those optional challenges had different requirements: from having NPCs in your entry, interacting with the Avalanche blockchain, through using Thirdweb tooling, to uploading your game to Arcadia - 19 entries out of 187 total participated in those.

Each challenge had a total prize pool of 1300 USDC:

  1. 500 USDC

OP Guild

The challenge of adding Non Player Characters received fifteen submissions, and the winners were arranged by Paul Gadi and Chase Freo:

Avalanche

A total of six entries interacted with the Avalanche blockchain, or at least added a reference to it, and here’s their ranking made by Andrew Cooper:

Thirdweb

Seven games took on the Thirdweb challenge of using their TypeScript SDK, and Juan Rivera Perez (JRP) ranked them like this:

Seventeen entries landed on the Arcadia platform, and here are the best ten selected by Paul Gadi and Chase Freo:
