Bowie State University - Fintech $print

Recapping my Fintech $print experience at Bowie State University!

During the Fintech $print challenge, my team and I developed Rebuild Initiative LLC, a prototype powered by Interledger to support unbanked communities like refugees seeking self-reliance.

Our case study forced our empathetic outlook and centered on Fatima, a Somali refugee in Minneapolis, who gained access to digital payments and small business financing without needing a traditional bank or SSN. Through Interledger’s decentralized network, we explored how inclusive technology can bridge financial gaps and promote entrepreneurship.

Proud to represent Bowie State University, this immersive experience helped in drive conversations around financial inclusion, decentralization, and fintech for social impact.
