Rafiki Updates - October 2025

Hello folks 👋🏻
Welcome to the Rafiki update for October 2025. This past month we've been making progress on some important features and following up on the release of Multi-Tenancy.

POS & Card Service Integration

The Rafiki team is continuing work on the POS & Card Service Integration that was initiated during the Rafiki Work Week this year. We've built on our successful end-to-end payment between Rafiki instances and expanded this test to utilize a real POS Device as part of the test flow. We're continuing to put the finishing touches on the integration and are looking forward to showcasing this at the summit next month.

Multi-Tenancy Documentation

With the implementation of the Multi-Tenancy feature, the team has been hard at work drafting detailed and well-versioned documentation for it. These drafts are currently under review to make sure their contents are as clear and comprehensive as possible.

Encrypted Data Exchange

There is a clear need among Rafiki integrators to be able to exchange data between each other in an encrypted manner during payments, particularly when it comes to KYC requirements. To this end, we're looking at adding a way for senders to transmit KYC information through their Rafiki instance all the way to the receiving Rafiki instance. On that same token, we are also working on a feature for receivers to acquire a sender's KYC information for a given payment, and to communicate if that information passes any necessary checks. We've begun scoping out the technical work needed to achieve this.

As always, you can follow these developments and more at the Rafiki GitHub repository or by joining the community call.

The folks behind Rafiki have been working hard to release these exciting new features. We're looking forward to showing off what we've managed to accomplished at this year's Interledger Summit, which is set for November 5-6 next month. If you are interested in attending, more information can be found here.
