She is currently working on a documentary about Harlem Renaissance figure Georgia Douglas Johnson and frequently collaborates with major institutions like PBS and the Smithsonian. Her critically acclaimed films have been featured at major festivals such as DOC NYC and the BlackStar Film Festival.
Nina Archie is the Founder of Innovator Connector, an Innovation Advisor, Angel Investor, and VC Scout who helps startups scale and secure funding. Her career spans the public and private sectors, including roles as a USPTO Patent Examiner and an NSF SBIR Reviewer. A Techstars Mentor and advisor for SXSW and the AAAS HBCU Makers Innovation Showcase, Nina is a Techstars Give First Award recipient, recognized as a 2026 Top 100 Defense Innovator and DC RealLIST Connector for her work in equitable capital access.
Howard Hesson is the Founder and CEO of Project Neptune, a Virginia-based firm that assists entrepreneurs in becoming capital-ready via business planning, financial forecasting, and funding strategies. He also founded Fun1st, an ed-tech company focused on classroom culture. Hesson’s work emphasizes financial inclusion and digital innovation, providing support to underserved founders through consulting, accelerator programs, and various institutional partnerships.
