More of an issue rather than question here.
I was filling our profile of the Web Monetized HTML5 Game Development project, but since it was called an organization, and some of the fields were already pre-filled with the Enclave Games info (our own company which got the Grant), I decided to make this a full-blown "Enclave Games" organization instead, including the change in the url, which led to an issue.
Instead of our project/organization now having a different url (from wmhtml5gamedev to enclavegames), a new organization was created, and I lost access to the old one (which is still linked on our profiles). Now there are two of them.
Old project: community.interledger.org/wmhtml5g...
New organization: community.interledger.org/enclaveg...
Any chance to have the old one removed/deleted in favor of the new one?

We totally understand your reasoning to change the org name from Web Monetized HTML5 Game Development to Enclave given the circumstances.
So, it seems that you did successfully change the org name and did not actually create a separate new org, though it appeared you had. You actually ran into two different bugs that made the org name change seem like it didn't happen, let me describe each one to ya here...
After you updated the name of the org, that change wasn't properly reflected on your user profile because of caching issues. We wrote up an issue on that here and are looking into it now.
Redirects aren't functioning as they should be (logged here). So, when you renamed your org, the URL on your profile didn't update (because of the above caching issue) and the page led to a broken version of your org page.
In short though, I believe we've mostly fixed problem #1, but problem #2 could take us a bit longer. If you navigate to community.interledger.org/wmhtml5g..., you'll notice some goofy styling issues. But navigating to community.interledger.org/enclaveg... should work as expected now and this org should be correctly reflected on your profile page.

Hi, my name is Frederic Font, I'm leading the Freesound Licensing project which got a grant for the web award (community.interledger.org/freesoun...). Our goal is to explore the use of Web Monetization technologies in a platform that will allow users to re-license Creative Commons sounds uploaded to Freesound.
We almost finished the hiring process and are about to start with the developments related to our proposal for the grant for the web award. What is the recommended "getting started" guide to start working with Web Monetization? Is there any board of experts that we can consult to get some guidance and start our work?

Hi again, we've been checking the available resources for web monetization, but we're a bit unsure about its application to our use case.
Just as a quick summary, our use case is the implementation of Freesound Licensing, a platform that will allow creators uploading Creative Commons sound content to Freesound (i.e. sound authors) to re-license the sounds to sound users that require usage rights other than those defined in the original CC licenses. The idea is that when a sound user needs a new license for a sound, she can send money via web monetization to Freesound Licensing, and Freesound Licensing will pay the author of the sound (taking a fee) and will generate a license for the sound user. These should be one-time payments of ~5$.
After further reading about web monetization, all the examples that I see have to do with time-based payments (e.g. the more you stay on a site, the more the content creator gets paid), but this does not fit our use case because the sounds we license are not consumed in the site itself but downloaded and used elsewhere.
My question is: does web monetization support one-time payments like the ones we require? Is there any example/documentation around that's closer to our use case?

The underlying ILP technology supports one-time payments and Coil is exploring a tipping feature, as this is a highly requested feature. Several other folks from the community are thinking about alternatives to time-based payments (@roelfjan and @sid spring to mind).

But also, here are my top 3 general tips:
Make sure to use tags on your post. Other users follow tags and this is how content is generally discovered and organized on the site. So, it's important to use them β do it! π
Consider writing short discussion prompts and tagging them with #discuss if you're looking to have a discussion, or use #help if you need a hand with something.
And while you have the ability to create a brand new tag, it's often best to use established tags that people are more likely to have followed.
There are 2 versions of the editor available β the
basic markdown editorandrich + markdown editorβ it's worth checking out each one via settings to see which you prefer. Just know that both offer the same features, but they present them in a different format.And while Markdown can seem a bit daunting to the uninitiated user, it's generally pretty accessible and powerful. Here's a Markdown cheat sheet you can reference while writing your posts.
Have fun and make friends! If you interact with other people's posts, they're more likely to interact with yours too. It may sound simple, but this is a community and if you want to get engagement you gotta give it too! β€οΈ
BONUS: Set a cover image for your post. This will help with engagement, but also, if you don't set a cover image, your post won't appear at the top of the home feed (or even /latest!). In order for a post to appear at the top of a feed, it must have a cover image set.

Our organization is not a grantee, but was invited to resubmit the proposal and to this community. We created our organization ( community.interledger.org/clink). Is there a place in the community where "invitee" organizations are listed?

That's an excellent question!
We do not have a place yet where invitee organizations are listed, but over time we hope to improve the search functionality on this site to include organizations, while also likely offering directories for organizations and users.
To be clear, the projects list here was not meant to be exclusive β the list was manually created to make it so that the initial group of folks who joined up on the site could easily join organizations without accidentally creating duplicate orgs. You can see the whole flow that we developed here to make this process work.
Anyway, we still recognize the need to have a way to browse all orgs β again, it helps stop folks from creating duplicated orgs! β and we hope to add this feature down the line. Hope you understand!

Sorry to hear that your org wasn't wasn't listed with the other projects. This was likely a error on our part, as all of the projects there were inputted manually.
It looks like you've set your org up correctly here, but I imagine what's confusing is that after creating the org it wasn't appearing in the project list here. I'll add it now!

Apologies for the misunderstanding! We should have listed the project and not the org. π
We've just unlisted Equilibrium and added in the Web Monetized Multimedia project. We've also granted you admin privileges over the Web Monetized Multimedia project, which is also kind of an organization. It's a tad confusing, but we use the terms "orgs" and "projects" fairly synonymously here. Let me explain...

For instance, Mozilla here is a Founding Collaborator of Grant for the Web and thus a partner org, not really a project. That said, the folks listed under the Grantee List here on the projects page, are indeed projects.

So, they're essentially the same in their capabilities, but we may refer to an org as a project depending upon the context.

You can set up your payment pointer from settings > misc. There is a detailed tutorial available here that walks you through the process.

Fantastic question! In order for a post to display at the top of the latest feed (or any feed) the post must have a cover image set to it.
