ISCN - The Decentralized Registry function now available with the WordPress plugin
In our first report, we have upgraded the LikeCoin WordPress plugin to enable Web Monetization. In the past three months, we spend most of our time developing ISCN, a content metadata registry and we have now added the ISCN function to the plugin in the first testing environment.
Imagine it is the ISBN for digital content. ISCN (International Standard Content Number) is a decentralized content registry. It is a comprehensive metadata framework that can facilitate content registrations, licensing, and monetization for all media types. Content creators can register their content metadata and adequately set up content attributes before distributing the content. If you are in the recent NFTs craze, you may understand ISCN as a metadata oracle to help provide content authenticity data before an NFT was mint to be sold on marketplaces. We also aim to empower journalists and media to preserve content & ensure authenticity.

Events
Attended MozFest 2021! Roundtable discussion on "Business models on the web is broken! Let's fix them."
It is our first MozFest experience, and it was a blast and glad to meet a lot of new faces. The event is well organized, a user-friendly platform where I got to interact with other participants easily. It was great to connect with various grantees and discuss topics that we all care about.
We were at the Grant for the Web Grantee Hangout last week! :)
What's next?
Thanks to Grant for the Web, we took ISCN from idea to finish building it. Now the basic infrastructure is set, we have a lot of following up work to do before it can serve the general public. In Q2, we will be launching the LikeCoin chain, Fotan version enabling the ISCN module and Interchain communication feature publicly for the open source community to build Dapps.
