I wanted make the community aware that C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) released today the first Public Draft of its specification.
C2PA unifies the efforts of the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) which focuses on systems to provide context and history for digital media, and Project Origin, a Microsoft- and BBC-led initiative that tackles disinformation in the digital news ecosystem. CLink is an active contributor to C2PA.
You can find the links for the draft and for the feedback forms at https://c2pa.org (bottom of the page). I would be more than happy also take (as a member of the C2PA technical working group) feedback directly from you if you prefer. I am quite familiar with the subject document, spent many hours (in the range of triple digits) participating in the C2PA working groups in the past six months.
If there is an interest, Iād be glad to facilitate a workshop on giving insights and explanations what is covered in the document.
CLink in our GftW grant project is working on the implementation of the C2PA specification with a licensing vertical using ILP. Our goal is to demonstrate a Marketplace for authenticated online content.
