Grant Opportunities

Interledger Fellowship Program

This grant program is designed for individuals working at the intersection of open payments, financial technology, and social impact. Fellows will receive $72,000, and up to $20,000 additional for project stipends, to lead a 12-month program that will advance independent research, advocacy, or technical projects. SDK Grant Program

Up to $200,000 in total funding is available to improve how developers integrate Open Payments into real-world applications. Grants ranging between $5,000 – $50,000 will support the creation of secure, production-ready SDKs that reduce complexity and accelerate adoption across platforms.

A mini-grant for student-led university projects, offering up to $5,000 to explore Open Payments and financial inclusion. With faculty support and short project timelines, this program is designed to spark innovation where it starts - on campus!

Digital Money Blog Series

Proposal for Special Purpose Payment Account

In February 2026, the Interledger Foundation responded to the Federal Reserve’s proposal for a “special purpose Payment Account,” which could give non-banks access to core settlement services like FedNow.
