Hey folks! My name is Alen.
I'm from India. As for web monetization, I'm most excited about personal payment pointers. I love that community members who create content can receive payment for their work.
I'm Sam the CEO and cofounder of Syncify.fm from London.
We're building a social network for audio allowing listeners to connect over podcasts and engage with each other and communities. For podcast creators we are giving them tools to monetize their audience without relying on ads.
Fun fact - I'm the Burrito Eating Champion of Bristol and still hold the record time
Web Monetization excites me because of the amount of creators I know who deserve to have easier ways to take payments. This could help unlock so much more creative talent. (not just podcasters but artists, poets, musicians etc...)
Hey everyone!
I'm in the process of drafting our first grant report :)
Just so I can add to our Trello, please remind me how many grant reports we need to deliver and approx when?
Many thanks,
Jemima (Design Club: Reboot)
Hi @jemima . Grantees are required to file a progress report at around the project's 2/3 mark, and a final report within 30 days of the project's end date.
Great - thanks Erika. I see that's in the Grantee FAQ, which I've now read properly. But thanks again!
Hi everyone!
My name is Dee, and I’m the CEO and Creative Director of Erase All Kittens - a web-based adventure game designed to inspire kids, especially young girls, to code and create. EAK works in a different way to other coding tools, in that players need to hack into the game's source code in order to build and fix levels as they play (in HTML and CSS, so far!). My team and I are really excited to be a part of this community, exploring ways that we can help build a fairer internet for creators.
Good luck with your projects! :)
Hi Dee,
Erase All Kittens is an awesome project! I love what you're doing.
I run growthmindsetpodcast.com and was had been planning to reach out to you for a while. (regular top ten for self-improvement). If you're interested I'd love to interview you?

Hi Everyone,
My team and I are new to this web monetization technology, but we see its potential for various animation projects...
At some point will be good to have a place on the community space, where people with various content development , animation, other technical skills can profile themselves for cross collaboration ...
Hi Everyone
I'm Alan, I was awarded a Spark level grant to integrate WM into Teddy Story, my side project to publish children's stories. My day job is in central IT in a university here in New Zealand, but I don't usually write code so its been a fun learning experience.
After a couple of months working on it I finally pushed the button on my first release last night... and then this morning I went back and corrected all the DNS settings I'd got wrong :) Now the link up there actually works!
I'm still catching my breath after getting the site live, so will shift some focus onto organising what I found/learned and writing something up about that next. I do just want to say that working with the WM technologies has been great so far, haven't had any real issues (that weren't located between the keyboard and the chair).
Thanks ! 😄
I'm Thomas from France 👋🏼

Im really excited to be a part of this community as we build a more fair and equitable internet for all content creators on the web. Cheers!
Hi all! I work in media production and content creation. I'm currently working on a platform which I intend to heavily integrate with micropayments and web monetization (Interledger), among other technologies.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and to working together to create a new paradigm.
Thank you!
I watched The Ataxian trailer from your company. It has made me emotional. Congratulations, very well done!
Thank you for checking it out! Happy that it had an impact! :D
