NextGen Higher Education Grant
The Interledger Foundation is currently welcoming Letters of Intent from diverse higher education institutions ready to establish or expand programs that provide real-world experience in open-source practices, Open Payments, and inclusive digital financial systems. RightsCon 2025
This year’s RightsCon in Taipei brought together digital rights advocates, policymakers, and technologists to tackle key issues in Internet governance. The Interledger Foundation connected with current and potential awardees to learn about their challenges in digital financial inclusion and how Interledger Foundation can help advance their initiatives. One key takeaway was understanding that as Taiwan advances its Fraud Crime Hazard Prevention Act, it highlights the need for cross-sector collaboration on financial and digital security.
Celebrating International Women’s Day
Across Africa, community-driven finance is reshaping financial access, bypassing traditional banking barriers through Village Banking, Stokvels, and Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs). These systems have long provided a trusted, localized way to save and borrow, but now, they are evolving with technology to reach even more people.
