Hackathon 2024
It was inspiring to see so many students, developers, and future innovators come together during the hackathon to collaborate and build solutions that advance digital financial inclusion through Open Payments.
First place goes to Byron Coetsee and Lex Campbell for their unique approach, blending technology and hardware to elevate the presentation while building a multi-tenant network for open payment transfers from the ground up.
In second place, we applaud the creativity and hard work of Team 23 with Andrew Reiblein, Ben Janecke, Brett Scheepers, and Tamira Gunzburg-Chibua. This stood out for delving into the core of Rafiki, exploring authentication and GNAP.
Third Place went to Team 7 with Cade Sayner, Kaden Carey, Mujaahid Salie, and Luke Davis for showcasing a well-structured charity initiative that introduced animals to potential new families.
Community Prize winners go to Team 8. Congratulations to Linda Mthembu, Thando Njikelana, Thurlow Moses, and Zukisa Maza for a great presentation.
