Interledger on Campus

We were very excited to announce our new educational grantee - the Financial Innovation Hub at the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa - last year at the Interledger Summit 2023 in Costa Rica. Half a year has passed since then and it was time for our first event together. We hosted a week-long bootcamp on digital financial inclusion and Open Payments, with a 24 hour hackathon being the grand finale of the week.

Get Interledger on Campus with our NextGen Higher Education grant. Access up to $50,000 in funding to develop and implement an Open Payments curriculum. Reimagine the future of digital finance with Future|Money

In 2023 Interledger Foundation funded artists from around the globe to explore digital financial inclusion from new perspectives to help everyone reimagine what the future might hold. Loose (Chains) Change envisions a series of large-scale multimedia tapestries crafted from a unique and powerful material: leather and used lottery tickets collected from marginalized residents within Brooklyn. Read the final grant report here.
